Today I bought this fabulous book (buy it HERE) which is not only clever and funny but also gives you a very smug sense of achievement at ‘getting’ all the references and in-jokes. Of course I am unhealthily obsessed with the program and someone with a proper job and and a life might not be quite as much of a … erm … geek! Today has also involved me getting my outfit together, ready for Goodwood Revival on Sunday. As we live a gazillion miles away, we’re travelling down on Saturday evening and staying over, in preparation for an early start on Sunday. There will be old planes, old cars, retro music, vintage fashion and a Champagne tent. I can’t imagine a better way to spend a Sunday! Anyway, to avoid being uncomfortable, wind-swept and bedraggled by rain, I have opted for 1950s day wear, with circle skirt, cardigan, neck scarf, lace up pumps and bobby socks. I’m sure there will be much more ‘authentic’ and glamorous ladies there but Im there to enjoy the day, not worry about shoe induced blisters.
